1. Introduction

Coupon Organizer and Scanner iPhone app allows you to digitally store and organize your grocery coupons on your iPhone or iPod device. Coupons are organized by category, coupon insert and can be sorted by insert date or expiration date. You can also set alerts to get notifications when a coupon is about to expire.

With the free version of the app you can manually input an unlimited number of coupons into the app... with the upgraded version you can bar code scan coupons in, you can keyword search our database and you can even bulk import an entire coupon insert! So instead of typing in the coupon value, expire date, category, name etc.. you can easily get all of that data with a few clicks from our coupon database.

. Working With Coupons

There is a little [+] icon on most pages of the app. Press this icon to manually add a coupon in. You will find that we have default lists for Source (coupon inserts), and default lists for Categories, and Store name. Click on any of these lists and click [Refine] at the top of the page to edit the list or add to it. Once you input your coupon details, Press [Save] and the coupon will now appear on the main "Coupon" tab. This tab is your personal list of coupons.

You can easily filter your list of coupons by category (for example select "Cleaning" to only view your cleaning related coupons. If you find a coupon and want to use it.. simply click on that coupon and press the [Use] button. This will remove the coupon from your land store it on the History page (see the More Tab). Expired coupons will also be stored away on the History page.

You can also take an optional image of any coupon you add to your list by clicking the little camera icon on the top of the add/edit coupon details page.

You can also [Clone] a coupon.. to add an exact copy to your coupon list.. which you could then edit and save as a new record.. makes it easier than typing similar coupon details in over and over again. If you have multiple copies of the same coupon you can use the Quantity field to list how many copies of that coupon you have... then if you go to the store and and [Use] this coupon, the app will ask you how many of this coupon do you wish to use.

Lastly you can also Share your coupons on Facebook and leave a personal message. Simply click on the Facebook Share button when you are editing/adding your coupon details in.. You will be promoted for your Facebook username and password- Which you only need to input 1 time.. then you can easily share any coupons that you really like on Facebook and you can add a personal message along with the coupon details.

3. Add Coupons/ Upgrade Features

Manually inputting all of the coupons and details is a ton of work! So we offer an in app upgrade to unlock access to our huge coupon database. Once unlocked, you can quickly bar code scan your coupon to import all of the coupon data from our database into your app! PLEASE NOTE- we don't have every coupon bar code in the world scanned.. as more people use the app- the database will grow. Besides scanning, you can do a keyword search. So if your coupon is for "Baby Diapers" .. keyword search Diapers- and you will see a list of all diaper coupons from our database along with their values, expire date and coupon insert/source.. simply press the result that matchs your coupon and Voia! that coupon is now in your list. And lastly- we also have a bulk coupon insert import function! Again- PLEASE NOTE.. store inserts vary across the country.. we do our best.. but with this function you can select from a recent coupon insert / date.. like Red Plum 02/22/12 and the app will import every coupon in that insert.. you can then select all or select some and import them into your app! Again.. this area must be used with caution because coupon inserts vary across the country.

4. Bulk Insert Import

The bulk coupon insert import function really saves time! Again- PLEASE NOTE.. store coupon inserts vary across the country.. we do our best.. but with this function you can select from a recent coupon insert / date.. like Red Plum 02/22/12 and the app will import every coupon in that insert.. you can then select all or select some and import them into your app! Again.. this area must be used with caution because coupon inserts vary across the country. The insert names are abbreviated SS, SS1 , RP etc. what does it all mean?

PG/P&G = Proctor & Gamble Coupon Insert RP = Red Plum Coupon Insert
RR = Register Reward
SS = SmartSource Coupon Insert

You will also see SS1. Sometimes there are multiple inserts.. and they vary across the country. So please be sure to look closely at the coupons before you import them. You don't have to [Select All] when importing from the Bulk Insert Section.. you can select/ deselect individual coupons before importing.

5. More /Settings / Alerts / Export

The More page contains additional options, settings and tools. There is also a helpful demo video. You can edit any of the defualt lists of Categories, Stores or Sources (Coupon Inserts) here. You can also set alerts. Simply turn the alerts [On] and input the number of days until expirations.. for example if you input "5" you will get an alert 5 days before a coupon on your list will expire.

There is also a handy Export My Database function. This will allow you to export a CSV file of your personal coupon database. We are currently working on adding an IMPORT function and it will be available in a future release.. but for now you can at least make a database backup.
